About Us
Hi, I'm Pete King - Founder of King Electrical Services. I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself, and how King Electrical Services was started.
After joining Southern Electric in 1983, I was named Apprentice of the Year in 1987 and continued to work for them for a total of 15 years. During which time I went back to college to further my electrical knowledge, gaining an ONC and a HNC from Reading Technical College in Electrical Engineering.
I was then approached by BELCO (Bermuda Electric Light Company) and offered a position in Bermuda as a Senior Electrical Specialist and worked in Bermuda for the next 5 years, only coming back in 2003 due to family commitments. That is when King Electrical Services was formed and was based on the principles of giving a quality job, for a fair price.
Knowing that recommendation is worth its weight in gold, in the business world, our principles have not changed and we still offer a great quality job at a fair price .King Electrical Services is proudly a member of the NICEIC Domestic Installers Scheme and have been since before the Part P legislation came into effect. This means that our worked is checked on an annual basis, where we have to show various job sites for inspection purposes. It also means that we have at least a 2 million pounds public liability insurance scheme and an insurance backed guarantee in case for any reason we were unable to complete the job, which I am sure gives the customers’ peace of mind.
I am a local man, having always lived within Earley and Woodley, (apart from our timein Bermuda) and am proud to be called a "Local Tradesman". In fact all of my staff are local and all live within Earley. So there are always references available to anyone who wants further reassurances. Usually the reference will be from my last job, relevant to what work you are enquiring for e.g. last changed fuse board or last complete re-wire. As again I feel that you are only as good as your last job and that every job should be to the best of our ability.
All quotes are carried out for free and hopefully come with lots of useful advice, about what might be possibly a good way to carry out your desired job. This way the customer can make an informed decision, without feeling pressurised in any way.
Many thanks,
Pete King
